Job Summary

The Medical Officer in Charge at Valley Hospital will oversee clinical operations, ensuring the provision of high-quality, affordable healthcare. Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provide effective clinical leadership and mentorship to staff, fostering a culture of excellence in patient care.
  • Oversee the daily clinical operations of the hospital, ensuring smooth and efficient service delivery.
  • Implement and monitor strategic plans for quality improvement initiatives across all departments.
  • Ensure adherence to all hospital policies, procedures, and clinical guidelines.

  • Maintain high standards of patient care, ensuring safety, ethical practice, and compassionate service.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Medical Degree (MBChB) or equivalent from a recognized institution.
  • Additional qualifications in healthcare management or clinical leadership are an advantage.
  • Minimum of 5 years post-internship experience, three of which must be in a leadership role in a facility of similar size.
  • Registered with the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council (KMPDC) with a valid practicing license.
  • Proven ability to lead and mentor clinical staff.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Competency in strategic planning and implementation of quality improvement initiatives.
  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate clinical teams towards achieving high standards of patient care.
