Job Summary
The Revenue Accountant at Valley Hospital will be responsible for managing and optimizing the hospital's revenue cycle. This role involves ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining proficiency in accounting and hospital systems, and contributing to the hospital's mission of providing quality yet affordable healthcare.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Manage and reconcile revenue accounts accurately.
- Prepare and analyze financial reports related to revenue.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and hospital policies.
- Maintain proficiency in accounting and hospital management systems.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate billing and revenue collection.
- Identify and resolve discrepancies in revenue data.
- Participate in audits and provide necessary documentation.
- Assist in budget preparation and financial forecasting.
- Monitor revenue trends and provide insights for financial planning.
- Contribute to process improvements within the finance department.
- Ensure timely and accurate recording of all revenue transactions.
- Support the hospital's mission by ensuring financial stability and sustainability.
- Prepare reports for management on revenue performance.
- Handle sensitive financial information with a high level of confidentiality and integrity.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the finance manager or supervisor.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Degree in Finance or a related field.
- CPA (minimum Section 4).
- 3+ years’ experience in a similar role.
- Proficiency in accounting and hospital systems.
