Job Summary

The Dental Technologist III will be responsible for receiving dental impressions, preparing models, fabricating special trays, designing and fabricating prostheses and appliances, carrying out repairs, delivering finished products to clients/patients, and maintaining accurate records of patient work within the dental facilities of Nakuru County.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Receiving all incoming impressions for prostheses or appliances from dental professionals.
  • Preparing the required models using specified and recommended dental materials.
  • Fabricating special trays used in various dental procedures.
  • Designing the prosthesis or appliance to achieve the correct functional and aesthetic results.
  • Fabricating the prosthesis or appliances according to the approved design specifications.
  • Carrying out any repairs needed for existing prostheses/appliances to restore them to their original condition.
  • Delivering the finished prosthesis or appliance to the client’s/patient’s satisfaction, ensuring proper fit and function.
  • Maintaining good records pertaining to all patient work, including materials used and procedures performed.

Qualifications & Requirements

For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have:

  • Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) mean grade C (Plain) with a C in English/Kiswahili and Physical Science/Physics/Chemistry and a C- in Biology and any one of the following: Metal Work, Mathematics, Physics, or Chemistry.
  • A Diploma in Dental Technology from a recognized institution.
  • A Certificate in Computer Application skills from a recognized institution.
