Job Summary
The Health Administrative Officer III will be responsible for allocating administrative duties, preparing and implementing budgets, managing estate, coordinating revenue collection, overseeing catering and housekeeping, managing transport, stores, and equipment, ensuring staff and patient welfare, contributing to hospital management, providing secretarial services, and maintaining administrative service standards within the health facilities of Nakuru County.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Allocation of health administrative duties and responsibilities to relevant staff members.
- Preparation and implementation of budget development and ensuring the maintenance of health facilities within allocated financial resources.
- Management of estate, including both residential and non-residential buildings associated with the health facilities.
- Co-ordination of revenue collection processes within the health institution.
- Coordination of catering and housekeeping services to ensure a clean and well-serviced environment.
- Overseeing requisition, transport management, utilization, and management of stores & equipment, ensuring efficient resource allocation.
- Overseeing staff and patients’ welfare by ensuring their security and addressing administrative concerns.
- Contributing to the overall management of the hospital/health institution through various administrative tasks.
- Providing secretarial and administrative services to various committees within the health facility.
- Maintenance of health administrative service standards within the hospital/health institution to ensure efficient and effective operations.
Qualifications & Requirements
For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have:
- Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) mean grade C- (Minus) or its equivalent with at least a C (Plain) in English/Kiswahili and Mathematics, or any other equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
- A Diploma in Health Management, Hospital Administration, Business Administration, or its equivalent from a recognized institution.
- A Certificate in computer Application skills from a recognized institution.
