Job Summary
Duties & Responsibilities
- Manage patient registration, admission, discharge, and transfer records accurately and efficiently, ensuring all necessary documentation is complete and properly filed.
- Compile statistical health reports based on patient data and ensure regulatory compliance with relevant health information management standards and guidelines.
- Ensure the security, confidentiality, and integrity of all patient health information, adhering to data protection policies and ethical practices.
- Implement and maintain electronic medical record (EMR) systems, ensuring accurate data entry, system functionality, and user support.
- Coordinate medical records audits to ensure the accuracy and completeness of patient information and support research data management initiatives as required.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Possess a Diploma in Health Records and Information Management from a recognized institution; Degree holders in Health Information Management are also encouraged to apply.
- Demonstrate proficiency in Health Management Information Systems (HMIS) for efficient data management and reporting.
- Exhibit strong organizational, analytical, and attention-to-detail skills essential for accurate record-keeping and data analysis.
- A minimum of 1-year experience in health information management within a healthcare setting is preferred, demonstrating practical application of relevant skills.
- Must be computer literate with a good understanding of basic software applications.
