A. Office of the Vice-Chancellor
1. Council Secretariat
Deputy Registrar (Council Secretariat) – Grade 14 (1 Position) (Ref: UOK/AD/01/02/25)
Requirements:
- Master’s degree in a relevant field with 15+ years of administrative experience, 5 years at Senior Assistant Registrar (Council Secretariat) – Grade 13.
- Certified Secretary CS (K) qualification.
- Bachelor's degree from a recognized university.
- Member of a recognized professional body.
- Proficiency in computer applications.
- Added Advantage: PhD in a relevant field, Postgraduate Diploma.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Oversee Council matters and ensure compliance with policies.
- Advise Council on administrative and academic issues.
- Manage Council meetings, correspondence, and documentation.
- Ensure Quality Management Standards (QMS) and performance targets are met.
- Induction and training of new Council members.

B. Internal Audit Department
1. Auditor I – Grade 12 (1 Position) (Ref: UOK/AD/02/02/25)
Requirements:
- Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- CPA (K) certification and ICPAK membership.
- 9+ years of relevant audit experience, with 3 years at Internal Auditor II (Grade 11).
- Added Advantage: CISA/CIA certification.
- Strong ICT skills in audit applications.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Lead audit assignments within the university.
- Develop and implement audit techniques & processes.
- Supervise and appraise junior staff.
- Ensure compliance with audit policies.
2. Audit Assistant – Grade 5/6 (2 Positions) (Ref: UOK/AD/03/02/25)
Requirements:
- KCSE Mean Grade C.
- CPA I or KATC (Final).
- 1+ years of relevant work experience.
- Proficiency in computer applications.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Review books of accounts for compliance.
- Assist in financial audits.

C. Directorate of Information & Communication Technology (ICT)
1. Systems Administrator – Grade 12 (1 Position) (Ref: UOK/AD/04/02/25)
Requirements:
- Master’s degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or related field.
- 6+ years of relevant experience, with 4 years at Senior Assistant Systems Administrator (Grade 11).
- Prior experience with ABN Unisol ERP is an added advantage.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and maintain university network systems.
- Ensure ICT security and manage firewalls.
- Optimize and maintain internet and intranet servers.
- Design quality network systems for faculties and departments.
D. Procurement Department
1. Senior Procurement Officer – Grade 13 (1 Position) (Ref: UOK/AD/05/02/25)
Requirements:
- Master’s degree in Purchasing & Supply Management or equivalent.
- Bachelor’s degree in Purchasing & Supply Management.
- Diploma in Supplies Management.
- 15+ years of experience, with 4 years at Procurement Officer (Grade 12).
- Member of a professional procurement body.
- Proficiency in Public Procurement Procedures and computer applications.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Oversee procurement activities across departments.
- Manage staff training, deployment, and disciplinary issues.
- Ensure compliance with procurement regulations.

1. Nursing Officer III – Grade 7/8 (1 Position) (Ref: UOK/AD/09/02/25)
Requirements:
- Diploma in Nursing from a recognized institution.
- 2+ years of post-qualification experience.
- Registered with the Nursing Council of Kenya (NCK) with a valid practicing license.
- Computer literacy is an added advantage.

- Provide nursing care and triage services.
- Coordinate nursing activities within the university health unit.
