Job Description
International Rescue Committee is offering a senior finance and budgeting coordinator Job in Nairobi Kenya, Basically senior finance and budget coordinators serve a key role in budget coordination, finance management in the development sector for non profit organizations. The senior finance budget coordinator will be responsible for providing leadership in budget control and finance management for the NGO in the following areas, Ethiopia, South Sudan, Somalia and Sudan, He or She will be active in and participate full in budget formulation, finance management and analysis as well as perform any other responsibility as listed below. Qualifications: CPA is an added advantage  Bachelors degree in the following fields: Internal Affairs, Public Administration, Economics, Business Studies, Accounting, Commerce, or other related fields.  A minimum of 6 to 8 years of experience in a similar role. Previous experience managing finance and budget formulation Excellent communication skills Excellent Interpersonal skills Previous experience with donor funded projects (added advantage) Previous Experience in region office (added advantage) Knowledgable on GAVI financial reporting and re-budgeting. (added advantage) Fluent in English
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Develop financial management systems for the GAVI project Oversee the overall budgeting process and financial management system. Ensure all expenses are open, honesty, truthful and compliant with donor regulations. Do focus and re plan to cut budget costs. Investigate any deviations on spending by partner organizations. Advice other members or teams on matters of financial compliance as per the donor rules and regulations Closely provide financial insights to regional finance teams for comparison of expenditures by different NGO programs Identify all risks that may arise during financial processes and ways on how to mitigate them. Review all financial controls in relevant with program control leads. Enhance capacity building in the project Lead other teams in diligence concerning financial honesty
