Job Summary
The Medical Representative will be directly responsible for establishing and expanding the company's product footprint. The role involves detailing and promoting specialized medical and prescription products to a diverse portfolio of healthcare stakeholders, including General Practitioners (GPs), Hospital Doctors, Pharmacists, and Nursing staff across private and public healthcare facilities.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Territory Marketing: Promote and sell pharmaceutical products to existing accounts and prospective clients to consistently achieve or exceed set monthly sales targets.
Product Detailing: Stay updated on the latest clinical trial data, medical trends, and health sector developments to conduct high-level, informed medical discussions with doctors and pharmacists.
Account & Customer Management: Execute structured, scheduled field visits to clinical facilities, process vendor orders, manage accounts, track invoice payments, and handle customer complaints effectively.
Market Intelligence: Gather and submit real-time competitor data and market pricing trends to help management adapt commercial strategies.
Reporting: Submit comprehensive, timely field summaries including daily doctor call logs, weekly travel itineraries, and monthly sales performance reviews.
Qualifications & Requirements
Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in a Science or Health-related course (e.g., Pharmacy, Biochemistry, Biomedical Sciences, or Clinical Medicine).
Minimum of one to three (1–3) years of direct field medical sales experience within the healthcare or pharmaceutical industry.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with a proven ability to engage medical professionals and vendors persuasively.
Strong self-drive, disciplined route-planning capabilities, and resilience under target-driven performance metrics.
Added Advantages
A Diploma in Sales and Marketing or a related business field.
Prior, verifiable experience marketing specialized pharmaceutical product lines in a fast-paced environment.
