Job Description
Kiriani Mission Hospital is seeking a qualified and competent individual to fill in the position of a Pharmacist in their facility. The Pharmacist will be entitled to the general duties and responsibilities of a pharmacist in the facility. Qualifications:   Bachelor of Pharmacy from a recognized university Registration certificate from Pharmacy and poisons board Valid Practicing License A minimum of 1 year experience post internship
Job Duties and Responsibilities
The Pharmacist will:  Track consumption of pharmaceuticals and non-pharmaceuticals in the departments and ensuring there are all accounted for. Ensure physical and system stocks tally. Scrutinize and issue pharmaceuticals and non-pharmaceuticals to various departments in the hospital  Participate in stock taking and ensure stock management analysis through Health Management Information System  is well maintained and controlled. Scrutinize patients' prescriptions in the ward for suitability in relation to dosage, drug interaction and administration in liaison with other medical team. Ensure that all drugs issued from the pharmacy to the various departments are correctly tallied. Train students who are on attachment and ensuring they are able to achieve their objectives. Participate in ward rounds daily. Provide drug information to patients and other healthcare professionals Maintain Pharmacy safety by adhering to infection control protocols, policies and regulations.
