Job Summary
The Program Support Specialist II - Health will provide subject matter expertise in health to support holistic child development programs. The role involves coaching and providing knowledge to partnership facilitators and other staff, as well as designing, implementing, and monitoring specific health strategies and interventions. The successful candidate will also review data and reports to improve program initiatives and child outcomes.
Duties & Responsibilities
Maintain a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and uphold Compassion’s ministry in prayer.
Act as an advocate for the needs of children and prioritize child protection in all tasks.
Support overall holistic child development by providing ongoing subject matter expertise in health.
Coach partnership facilitators and cross-functional staff, sharing knowledge and providing guidance.
Assess the changing needs for and ability to deliver health programming.
Consolidate national and local data to identify common gaps and patterns in health needs.
Support the ongoing development and implementation of local program design in alignment with global objectives.
Facilitate the identification of resource components for specific child development strategies.
Design, implement, and monitor specific holistic child development health strategies and interventions.
Provide capacity-building and caregiver engagement activities in the area of health.
Review data and reports to support management in improving program initiatives.
Contextualize health-related curriculum and other resources for child and youth development.
Ensure that intervention records, reports, and other documentation are accurate and complete.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education: A Bachelor’s degree in clinical medicine, community health programs, or any other related health field.
Experience: A minimum of three years of relevant experience working in this or a related field and with communities.
A personal relationship with Jesus Christ and a commitment to Compassion International's cultural behaviors and mission.
An understanding of Christ’s mandate to protect children and a commitment to child protection.
Strong knowledge of health-related programs and interventions.
Excellent communication, coaching, and mentoring skills.
The ability to analyze data and reports to identify trends and improve outcomes.
Experience working with communities is essential.
