Job Summary
The Nairobi Women's Hospital is seeking an experienced and qualified Lecturer - Medical Engineering to deliver high-quality instruction, assessment, and evaluation to students in the discipline area. This role is crucial for training the next generation of medical engineering professionals, ensuring they possess the necessary knowledge and skills to support the healthcare sector effectively. The successful candidate will leverage their expertise to foster an engaging and rigorous learning environment.
Duties & Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality theoretical and practical instruction in medical engineering to students, adhering to approved curricula and educational standards.

Develop and prepare comprehensive teaching materials, including lecture notes, practical manuals, assignments, and examination papers.

Assess and evaluate student performance regularly through examinations, practical tests, projects, and other assessment methods.

Provide constructive feedback to students to facilitate their learning and academic progress in medical engineering.

Supervise student practical sessions, projects, and research activities, ensuring safety and adherence to professional standards.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Must possess a Degree or Higher Diploma in a relevant Medical Engineering area.
- Must have additional training in TVET Education or Pedagogy.
- A minimum of three (3) years of teaching experience is mandatory.
- Must be registered by the relevant professional body, where applicable.
- Strong knowledge of medical engineering principles, technologies, and applications in a healthcare setting.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to effectively assess and evaluate student learning.
- Proficiency in using teaching aids and educational technologies.
- Demonstrated commitment to student success and academic integrity.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
