Job Summary
The Manager – People & Change will play a crucial role in driving HR consulting projects, managing client relationships, and developing tailored human resource solutions. This position requires strategic consulting expertise, business development acumen, and leadership skills to ensure high-quality service delivery and compliance with KPMG’s professional standards.
Duties & Responsibilities
Engagement & Client Management:
- Lead and manage HR consulting projects, ensuring revenue and profitability targets are met.
- Oversee client engagement risks, project budgets, and quality assurance.
- Develop HR strategies tailored to client needs, ensuring compliance with industry best practices.
- Supervise teams, ensuring timely and high-quality deliverables.
Business Development & Market Growth:
- Build and maintain relationships with decision-makers and key stakeholders.
- Identify and pursue new HR consulting opportunities within the East Africa region.
- Contribute to proposal development and market positioning initiatives.
- Identify client challenges and recommend strategic interventions.
Team Development & Leadership:
- Provide mentorship and technical guidance to HR consulting teams.
- Lead recruitment, training, and performance management initiatives.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and knowledge sharing.
Risk & Compliance Management:
- Ensure 100% compliance with KPMG’s Quality and Risk Management Policies.
- Oversee project pricing, financial planning, and work-in-progress (WIP) management.
- Maintain high standards of integrity and ethical practice in all engagements.
Personal Development & Thought Leadership:
- Publish thought leadership articles, contribute to HR conferences, and lead key business discussions.
- Stay updated on emerging HR trends and consulting methodologies.
- Maintain continuous professional development (CPD) hours as per industry standards.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Master’s degree in Human Resources or a related field.
- Bachelor’s degree in Humanities, Business, or a relevant discipline.
- Membership in CIPD, IHRM, or other relevant professional bodies.
- 8+ years of experience in HR consulting, with expertise in East Africa’s HR landscape.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
- Experience in financial budgeting, strategy formulation, and stakeholder management.
- Proven track record of publishing articles, speaking at conferences, and driving HR thought leadership.
- High level of resilience, adaptability, and integrity.
- Willingness to travel regionally and internationally as needed.
