Key Roles and Responsibilities
- Proactively support IDAS Africa Business Development to maintain and manage the opportunities pipeline.
- Lead and take ownership of the bid process, from forming bid teams to coordinating the commercial strategy.
- Support sector and pillar leaders in managing proposal inputs from partners and stakeholders.
- Ensure mandatory compliance requirements are met for all proposals.
- Manage timelines and ensure bid processes are on track.
- Proactively manage and update the pipeline, providing reports to management.
- Ensure full compliance with KPMG's quality, risk, and management requirements.
- Adopt a continuous learning culture by holding proposal debriefs and lesson learning sessions.
- Participate in and contribute to discussions on pipeline and bid development strategies.
- Support, develop, and enhance innovative operational processes for end-to-end bid management.
- Any other business development tasks as assigned.
Academic/Professional Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in economics, international relations, or a related field.
- Master’s degree in any field will be an added advantage.
- Over 10 years’ experience managing and writing winning bids in response to tenders for donor-funded international development programs.
- Sound knowledge and experience of the requirements of major donors.
- Experience of risk management procedures.
- Experience with commercial aspects of bid management.
