The history of Mater Misericordiae dates back in the year 1962 after a Catholic Church of the Sister of Mercy from Ireland set it's foot in Kenya. Mater Misericordiae is a mission owned hospital located within the Nairobi suburbs. From it's launching time to date the hospital has achieved greater advancements in healthcare and expanded it's service from general health care delivery to launching a Midwifery College.
The Mater Hospital is composed of highly specialized consultants from different and complex specialties. Job Overview
The radiographer will be technically responsible for ensuring that all necessary measures and policies are adhered to. He or she will also be responsible for performing any other other duty in the radiology department.
Duties and Responsibilities
Successful candidates will have the following tasks:
- Formulate radiology and imaging policies and procedures.
- Follow up on inventory of radiology department and stock outs.
- Contribute in training of radiology paramedics in continuous medical education.
- Craft and manage department budgets and forward for approvals
- Ensure that quality is maintained throughout the process and the and improved where necessary.
- Ensure costing of procedures is done without discrepancies.
- Monitor film consumption on a monthly basis to reduce wastage and safe on cost.
- Perform any imaging investigation as ordered by clinicians.
- Participate as well as coordinate the servicing of radiologic equipments and machines.
- Ensure compliance with radiology protection board policies by ensuring inspections are done as need on a yearly basis.
- Coordinate staff wellbeing capacitation and development in collaboration with the Human Resource Manager.
- Contribute as well as participate in quality improvement sessions.
- Perform any other duty as ordered by the supervisor.
Qualifications
Interested candidates should meet the following:
- Bachelor of science degree in Radiography is essential.
- Higher diploma in radiography is an added advantage.
- Licensed by Radiology Protection Board.
- Member of Society of Radiography in Kenya.
- Minimum of 5 years experience is an added advantage.

2. Ambulance Operator.

Job Overview
Successful candidates will be entitled with a sole responsibility of driving th hospital ambulance in cases of emergencies. The Operator will be technically reporting to their head of department in the facility.
Duties And Responsibilities.
Successful candidates will have the following tasks:
- Drive the hospital ambulances responding to emergencies.
- Be in possession of driving license at all times as required by the law.
- Keenly observing all road traffic rules.
- On timely checking on maintenance schedule of the Hospital Ambulances.
- Reporting on time on all emergencies reporting immediately.
- Always maintain cleanliness on all ambulances.
- Ensure that all vehicles carry authorized personnel.
- Record all trips on work tickets.
- Practice economical driving during all trips.
- Maintain the vehicle by checking it's engine functionality regularly.
- Perform any other duty as instructed.
Qualifications
Interested Candidates should meet the following:
- Attained a minimum of Grade D+ in KCSE.
- In possession of valid driving license
- Knowledgable on vehicle emergency operation.
- First Aid training from a recognized institution.
