Shamiri Institute is a non profit organization focusing improving the lives of young people in sub Saharan Africa through research. The organization focuses on high school graduates to deliver group based therapy in schools through training. The organization also makes mental healthcare accessible to youths at an affordable rate.

Job Overview
Successful candidates will play a critical role in Shamiri program a youth based mental health program, the candidate will participate in carrying out rigorous mental health interventions using supported psychological elements and Shamiri interventions already in place And participate in dissemination of mental health information in high school in the following areas of implementation Nairobi, Kiambu, Kisumu, Homabay, Machakos, Migori and Kakamega County.

Duties And Responsibilities
Successful Candidates will have the following tasks:
- Effectively Supervise training fellows throughout the contract.
- Attend and complete supervision program on mental health training.
- Attend and complete continuous professional development at Shamiri institute.
- Co ordinate logistics at Shamiri during delivery of the mental health program in schools.
- Co ordinate and act as the inter link between between Shamiri training and Shamiri staff.
- Efficiently ensure the program is delivered with confidentiality and safety.
- Design weekly reports capturing the cases attended to, challenges faced during delivery of the program, and positive achievements of the week.
- Participate in orientation of new training fellows as required.
- Provide clinical support to high school students after program implementation.
- Perform on timely updates on the digital channels.
Qualifications
Interested Candidates should meet the following:
- Bachelors degree in psychology, counselling or clinical psychology.
- Ability to recognize one's values, characters and past experiences.
- Identify and use mistakes to identify opportunities for growth.
- Show interest in assisting those in need of mental health issues observing fairness, confidentiality and well being.
- Show commitment to achieving the program goals while observing ethics and principles.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Excellent problem solving skills.
- Perfect time management skills.
- Possess excellent communication skills.
- Report writing skills and ability to learn.
