Job Summary
The Research Assistant will support the implementation of a hypertension telehealth intervention in assigned health facilities. This role involves assisting facility teams with workflow integration, training Community Health Promoters (CHPs), and troubleshooting digital health platforms. The incumbent ensures data completeness and protocol adherence while facilitating communication between various stakeholders to improve hypertension screening and follow-up.
Key Responsibilities
Implementation Support: Assist practice facilitators in deploying telehealth interventions for hypertension within health facilities.
Workflow Integration: Help facility teams adopt and integrate new digital protocols into their routine daily workflows.
CHP Coordination: Assist in training, mentoring, and coordinating Community Health Promoters (CHPs) for home-based screening and follow-up.
Telehealth Support: Troubleshoot the eCHIS/Taifa Care health information systems to ensure seamless data flow.
Stakeholder Liaison: Act as the primary link between the research team, facility staff, and community stakeholders.
Data Management: Support data collection processes, ensuring all study records are complete, accurate, and secure.
Community Engagement: Assist in organizing facility meetings and community engagement activities to boost intervention uptake.
Protocol Adherence: Reinforce strict adherence to research protocols and intervention workflows across the study site.
Qualifications & Requirements
Diploma in Community Health, Social Work, Information Technology, or a related field (Mandatory).
Computer Proficiency: Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and comfort with digital health systems (Mandatory).
Strong Planning Skills and ability to meet strict project timelines (Mandatory).
Excellent Communication and Reporting skills for technical and community audiences (Mandatory).
Strong Interpersonal Skills with the ability to lead and mentor multidisciplinary teams (Mandatory).
Must be a dedicated Team Player capable of working in remote clinical settings (Mandatory).
