Job Summary
The Registered Nurse III will be responsible for providing comprehensive nursing care, including patient assessment, implementing interventions, and evaluating outcomes. The role also involves facilitating patient admissions and discharges, maintaining patient records, and ensuring a safe and tidy clinical environment. The ideal candidate will have a diploma in a relevant nursing field and a valid practicing license from the Nursing Council of Kenya.
Duties & Responsibilities
Assess, plan, and implement nursing interventions and evaluate patient outcomes.
Provide appropriate healthcare services, including the Integrated Management of Childhood Illness (IMCI), immunization, Prevention of Mother-to-Child Transmission (PMTC), antenatal care, and delivery.
Provide health education and counseling to patients and clients.
Facilitate patient admissions and initiate discharge plans.
Maintain accurate and timely records on patients'/clients' health, education, and care.
Ensure a tidy and safe clinical environment.
Collect and compile health data as required.
Perform any other duties that may be delegated by a supervisor.
Qualifications & Requirements
A Diploma in one of the following: Kenya Registered Community Health Nursing, Kenya Registered Nursing, Kenya Registered Midwife, Kenya Registered Nursing/Midwifery, or Kenya Registered Nursing/Mental Health and Psychiatry from a recognized institution.
A Registration certificate issued by the Nursing Council of Kenya.
A valid practicing license from the Nursing Council of Kenya.
Must have good interpersonal and communication skills.
Proficiency in Computer Skills.
A demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the values and principles of the Kenyan Constitution, 2010.
Must satisfy the requirements of Chapter 6 of the Constitution of Kenya, 2010.
