Job Summary
The Orthopaedic Technologist will provide specialized orthopedic technology services, which includes designing, fabricating, fitting, and maintaining orthopedic appliances for individual clients. The role also involves maintaining accurate records, managing supplies, and preparing periodic reports. The ideal candidate will be a compassionate professional with strong interpersonal skills.
Duties & Responsibilities
Provide Orthopaedics Technology services, including the design, fabrication, fitting, and maintenance of orthopedic appliances.
Maintain all information, records, and data related to patients and their treatments.
Order and maintain accurate records of supplies and materials to ensure a consistent inventory.
Prepare periodic reports on services provided and stock levels.
Provide personalized care to patients during the fitting and adjustment of appliances.
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Ensure all appliances are custom-designed to meet the specific needs of each client.
Educate patients on the proper use and maintenance of their orthopedic appliances.
Qualifications & Requirements
A Diploma in Orthopaedics Technology or an equivalent approved qualification from a recognized institution.
A membership certificate from a National Professional Association.
A valid Practicing Licence.
Strong interpersonal skills.
A demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the values and principles of the Kenyan Constitution, 2010.
Must satisfy the requirements of Chapter 6 of the Constitution of Kenya, 2010.
