Job Summary
The Assistant Physiotherapist III will provide essential physiotherapy services to outpatients. This role involves assessing patient needs, creating and implementing treatment plans, and using various therapeutic techniques like manual therapy and hydrotherapy. The ideal candidate will have a diploma in physiotherapy, a valid practice certificate from the Physiotherapy Council of Kenya (PCK), and strong computer skills.
Duties & Responsibilities
Provide physiotherapy services to outpatients at an outpatient unit, ward, or health institution.
Assess patients' needs, including their rehabilitation requirements.
Verify and maintain accurate information and records related to patients.
Screen, assess, and provide therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, electrotherapy, and hydrotherapy as per the patient's formulated treatment plan.
Collect data for operational research to improve services.
Sensitize the community on important physiotherapy issues and promote wellness.
Prepare periodic reports on services rendered and patient progress.
Qualifications & Requirements
A Diploma in Physiotherapy from a recognized institution.
A Certificate of Registration from the Physiotherapy Council of Kenya (PCK).
A valid Certificate of practice from the Physiotherapy Council of Kenya (PCK).
Proficiency in any computer application skills from a recognized institution.
A demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the values and principles of the Kenyan Constitution, 2010.
Must satisfy the requirements of Chapter 6 of the Constitution of Kenya, 2010.
