Job Summary
The Data Scientist will play a key role in developing high-impact GenAI tools. Working within the office of the Chief Data Innovation Officer, this individual will be responsible for building and shipping successful analytics software products. The role requires a blend of strong technical skills in machine learning and NLP with a willingness to take on full-stack development responsibilities.
Duties & Responsibilities
Design, train, evaluate, and refine LLM-based workflows and data pipelines.
Define product features, user stories, and manage product backlog.
Coordinate agile sprints to ensure efficient product development.
Ensure training and inference datasets are complete, accurate, and relevant.
Engage with domain experts, faculty, and operations teams to gather feedback.
Conduct A/B testing and collect usability feedback to optimize UX in GenAI outputs.
Document data lineage and model decisions to ensure transparency.
Ensure strict adherence to privacy and security standards in all data operations.
Publish learnings and contribute to internal workshops and knowledge sharing.
Stay current with the latest trends and developments in Generative AI (GenAI).
Qualifications & Requirements
Education: A BSc or MSc in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
Experience: A minimum of 2 years of experience in a data science or engineering role.
Proven track record in building and shipping successful analytics software products at a high-tech company.
Experience with GenAI or NLP techniques, such as transformers and prompt engineering.
Background in building data-driven products using agile methodologies.
Proficiency in Python, SQL, and key ML libraries (scikit-learn, Transformers, LangChain, etc.).
Familiarity with BI tools (e.g., Power BI) and data versioning or MLOps pipelines.
