Job Summary
The Dermatologist Assistant will be responsible for assisting dermatologists in providing care to patients with skin, hair, and nail conditions. These roles are open to candidates with a Certificate in Nurse Assistance or a related course and at least one year of experience. The successful candidates will be part of a caring team dedicated to putting patients first.
Duties & Responsibilities
Prepare patients for examinations and medical procedures.
Assist the dermatologist during consultations and surgical procedures.
Take and document patient medical history, including relevant information on skin conditions.
Prepare and sterilize medical equipment and treatment rooms.
Educate patients on post-treatment care and medication instructions.
Handle patient inquiries and provide basic information about skin care and treatments.
Maintain accurate and organized patient records.
Ensure a clean, safe, and sterile environment for all patients and staff.
Manage inventory of medical supplies and alert the team when restocking is needed.
Assist with administrative tasks, such as scheduling appointments and managing patient files.
Ensure patient comfort and privacy throughout their visit.
Collaborate effectively with the entire healthcare team.
Adhere to strict infection control and safety protocols.
Qualifications & Requirements
Qualification: Certificate in Nurse Assistance or a related medical course.
Experience: A minimum of 1 year of experience in a clinical or medical setting.
A deep commitment to patient-centered care.
Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
The ability to work effectively in a team environment.
High level of professionalism and integrity.
The ability to handle diverse patient cases with compassion.
