Job Summary
The Great Lakes Medical Centre is seeking to recruit 3 Registered Clinical Officers to provide high-quality clinical care, particularly in the emergency department. These roles require a strong commitment to patient excellence, proficiency in computer skills, and excellent communication and teamwork abilities. Successful candidates will be vital in diagnosing, treating, and managing patients within the hospital's standards.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Diagnose and treat common medical conditions and minor injuries.
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and physical examinations.
- Order and interpret laboratory and radiological investigations to aid in diagnosis.
- Administer medications and perform minor surgical procedures as per established protocols.
- Manage and monitor patient progress in both outpatient and inpatient settings.
- Provide health education and counseling to patients and their families on various health topics.
- Attend to medical emergencies, provide immediate care, and facilitate appropriate referrals when necessary.
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date, and confidential patient records.
- Collaborate effectively with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals for holistic patient care.
- Ensure adherence to infection prevention and control measures within the clinical environment.
- Participate in continuous professional development and training programs.
- Contribute to effective resource management and inventory control within the clinic.
- Engage in hospital programs aimed at improving patient safety and quality of care.
- Uphold professional ethics and standards set by the Clinical Officers Council.
- Provide compassionate and empathetic care to all patients.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Diploma in Clinical Medicine from a recognized institution.
- Certificate of registration from the Clinical Officers Council.
- Valid practicing license from the Clinical Officers Council.
- Proficiency in computer application skills.
- Working experience in the emergency department is preferred.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to providing high-quality care and excellence.
