Job Summary
Our client, a global leader in the paint industry, is seeking a Project Supervisor to oversee and coordinate project activities from their Kenya office. This role involves organizing workflows, collaborating with stakeholders, ensuring projects are completed on time, within compliance standards, and to the highest quality. The successful candidate will also support existing distributors and a licensed partner to ensure client satisfaction and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist superiors in providing all technical services to clients and customers with satisfaction.
- Prepare policies and process improvements within Technical & Service functions as advised by superiors.
- Handle complaints: Troubleshoot technical issues that arise from customers/sales personnel, and investigate the source of the complaint through site visits.
- Collaborate with sales staff, verify substrate readiness, and train/oversee painters as they work on large-scale potential sites, and conduct random QC (Quality Control) visits.
- Keep the technical staff in licensing agreement markets trained and up to date.
- Ensure that dealers and applicators in the Kenya markets receive training on new products every three months and that there are regular product presentations to applicators.
- Project Documentation: Crucially, record all site visits in the CRM system.
- Organize and coordinate project workflows efficiently.
- Ensure projects are completed on time, within compliance standards, and to the highest quality.
- Support existing distributors and a licensed partner to ensure client satisfaction and operational efficiency.
Qualifications & Requirements
- A relevant Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field.
- Proven experience in Sales and Business Development within the Paint or Construction industries.
- Proven experience in project supervision or coordination, preferably within the paint, coatings, or construction industry.
- Strong understanding of project management principles, including timelines, budgeting, and compliance.
- Ability to coordinate effectively with cross-functional teams, clients, distributors, and partners.
- Familiarity with health, safety, and environmental standards in project execution.
- Willingness to travel within Kenya and across the region, as needed.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience working with distributors or licensed partners is an added advantage.
