Job Summary
The Great Lakes Medical Centre is seeking a Dental Technologist to provide high-quality technical support for dental services. This role requires proficiency in dental technology, excellent communication, and teamwork skills. The successful candidate will be vital in fabricating and repairing dental prosthetics and appliances, contributing to comprehensive patient care with a commitment to excellence.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Fabricate and repair a variety of dental prostheses and appliances, such as crowns, bridges, dentures, and orthodontic devices.
- Interpret dental impressions and prescriptions from dentists to create custom appliances.
- Select and work with appropriate materials, including metals, ceramics, and acrylics.
- Utilize specialized equipment and tools for dental fabrication and finishing.
- Ensure all dental appliances meet precise specifications for fit, function, and aesthetics.
- Maintain meticulous records of work performed and materials used.
- Adhere to strict infection control and sterilization protocols within the dental lab.
- Collaborate effectively with dentists and other dental professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Conduct quality checks on all finished products before delivery.
- Manage and maintain dental laboratory equipment, ensuring its proper functioning.
- Keep up-to-date with new technologies and advancements in dental materials and techniques.
- Contribute to a clean, organized, and safe working environment.
- Provide technical advice and support to dentists when needed.
- Manage dental laboratory supplies and inventory efficiently.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Diploma in Dental Technology from a recognized institution.
- Certificate of registration from Kenya Dental Technologists Association.
