Job Summary
The Assistant Occupational Therapist III will serve as an entry-level professional within the occupational therapy cadre at the Vihiga County Government. Working under the guidance of a senior officer, this role involves assessing patients, formulating treatment plans, maintaining records, collecting data for research, sensitizing the community on occupational therapy issues, and preparing periodic reports.
Duties and Responsibilities
This will be the entry grade into the occupational therapist cadre. An officer at this level will work under the guidance of a senior officer.
Specifically, duties and responsibilities will involve:
- Assessing and formulating patient's treatment plan.
- Maintaining record and data relating to patients.
- Collecting data for operational research.
- Sensitizing the community on occupational therapy issues.
- Preparing periodic reports.
- Assisting in the implementation of therapeutic interventions.
- Ensuring adherence to occupational therapy standards and protocols.
- Participating in continuous professional development.
Requirements for Appointment
For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have:
- Diploma in Occupational Therapy from a Recognized Institution.
- Certificate in Computer Application skills from a recognized Institution.
