Job Summary

The Procurement Officer III will be responsible for various procurement and stores management duties, including purchasing, warehousing, storekeeping, procuring goods and services, preparing reports, and assisting in the implementation of the procurement plan. This role also involves tracking performance contracting targets and conducting market surveys.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Efficiently managing purchasing and warehousing activities to ensure timely availability of goods and materials.
  • Overseeing storekeeping functions, including the proper receipt, storage, and issuance of supplies.
  • Effectively procuring goods and services in accordance with established policies and procedures.
  • Preparing accurate and timely reports related to procurement activities and stock levels.
  • Keeping track of performance contracting targets within the procurement department and contributing to their achievement.
  • Providing active assistance in implementing the procurement plan to meet the Polytechnic's needs.
  • Carrying out thorough market surveys and research to identify potential suppliers and obtain competitive pricing.
  • Performing any other duty assigned by the supervisor in line with the job description and the needs of the Polytechnic.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Must possess a Bachelor's degree in one of the following disciplines from a recognized institution: Business Management, Commerce, Business Administration (Supplies Management Option), Purchasing and Supplies Management, Supply Chain Management, or equivalent qualifications.
  • Must be a member of a relevant professional body in the field of procurement or supply chain management.
  • Must have at least one year's experience in a relevant field, demonstrating practical application of procurement principles.
  • Must possess a Certificate in Computer Application Skills, demonstrating proficiency in relevant software for procurement and record-keeping.
