Job Summary
The NUTRITION & DIETETICS TECHNOLOGIST III will be responsible for implementing nutrition programs, providing nutrition services in healthcare facilities, conducting nutrition assessments, offering dietary counseling, and promoting healthy feeding practices within Migori County.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Implementing Nutrition programmes in accordance with established guidelines and protocols.
- Providing Nutrition services in healthcare facilities, offering expertise and support to patients.
- Conducting thorough Nutrition assessments to understand individual dietary needs and health status.
- Collecting and compiling accurate Nutrition data for monitoring and evaluation purposes.
- Providing engaging nutrition health education and demonstrations to individuals and groups.
- Counselling patients with specific Nutritional needs, developing personalized dietary plans.
- Monitoring the preparation of therapeutic feeds to ensure they meet nutritional requirements.
- Implementing outpatient and inpatient supplementary and therapeutic feeding programmes for individuals with specific nutritional deficiencies.
- Promoting maternal, infant, and young children feeding programmes to improve nutritional outcomes for these vulnerable groups.
- Providing micronutrient supplementation as per established guidelines to address deficiencies.

Requirements for Appointment:
For appointment to this grade, a candidate must:
- Be a Kenyan citizen.
- Possess a Diploma in Nutrition & Dietetics Technology from a recognized institution.
- Have a minimum of C- (Minus) in KCSE.
- Hold a Registration Certificate and valid practicing license from the Kenya Nutritionists and Dieticians Institute (KNDI).
- A Certificate in Computer Application Skills from a recognized institution is an added advantage.
