Job Summary
The Samburu County Public Service Board is inviting applications for six (6) Medical Officer positions. These roles are essential for providing comprehensive medical care within Samburu County. Medical Officers will be responsible for diagnosing and treating diseases, performing medical and surgical procedures, managing emergencies, participating in health policy implementation, and contributing to the training of medical students and interns.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Diagnose, care for, and treat diseases across a range of medical conditions.
- Perform Medical and Surgical Procedures as required.
- Prepare for and respond to emergencies and disasters, ensuring timely and effective medical intervention.
- Participate in the Management of Medicines, Medical instruments, and equipment, ensuring proper use and inventory.
- Provide Health Education to patients and the community to promote well-being.
- Maintain medical records, Health Information, and Data meticulously and accurately.
- Teach and Coach Medical students, Nursing students, and Clinical Officers Interns, contributing to medical education and mentorship.
Requirements for Appointment
- Must be a Kenyan Citizen.
- Be a holder of a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MB. ChB. or MD) Degree from a recognized University.
- Have successfully completed one-year Internship from a recognized Institution.
- Be Registered with the Medical Practitioners and Dentists Board.
- Have a Certificate in Computer proficiency from a recognized Institution.
