Job Summary
The Samburu County Public Service Board is inviting applications for five (5) Kenya Registered Community Health Nurse (KRCHN) positions at the Diploma Level. These roles are essential for delivering high-quality nursing care within Samburu County's health facilities. The nurses will be responsible for administering medications, monitoring patient progress, providing health education, maintaining a safe environment, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional nursing care to patients in accordance with Hospital Policies and Protocols.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by Physicians.
- Monitor Patient progress and document observations accurately.
- Educate Patients and Families about Health conditions, treatments, and preventive measures.
- Maintain a safe and hygienic environment in Patient care areas.
- Collaborate with other Healthcare Professionals to ensure comprehensive Patient care.
- Handle emergency situations promptly and effectively.
- Ensure compliance with infection prevention and control Standards.
- Participate in continuous Professional Development and Training Sessions.
- Contribute to the improvement of nursing care services through feedback and innovation.
Requirements for Appointment
- Diploma in Nursing (KRCHN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing from a recognized Institution.
- Valid Nursing Council of Kenya License.
- At least 2 years of clinical experience in a Hospital setting.
- Experience in specialized areas such as Maternity, Pediatrics, or Critical care will be an added advantage.
