Job Summary
The Samburu County Public Service Board is inviting applications for three (3) Kenya Enrolled Community Health Nurse positions. These roles are crucial for assessing patient needs, planning and implementing nursing care, providing essential healthcare services including immunizations and ante-natal care, and maintaining health records within Samburu County. The nurses will also be involved in community health assessments and health promotion.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Assess Patients and Clients and establish their Health Care needs.
- Plan and implement nursing care interventions based on Patients'/Clients' Health needs.
- Provide appropriate Healthcare Service, including immunization, ante-natal care, delivery, and referring Patients and Clients appropriately.
- Evaluate Healthcare outcomes on Patients/Clients and prepare individualized reports.
- Make appropriate discharge plans for Patients.
- Conduct an assessment of School Health needs.
- Plan, implement interventions, and prepare periodic reports related to health programs.
- Maintain records on Patients/Clients Personal and Health condition/care.
- Ensure a tidy and safe clinical Environment.
- Treat minor ailments.
- Perform any other duties that may be assigned by the Supervisor.
Requirements for Appointment
- Certificate in any of the following Disciplines:
- Kenya Enrolled Nurse
- Kenya Enrolled Community Health Nurse
- Kenya Enrolled Midwife
- Kenya Enrolled Psychiatric Nurse
- Enrolled Nurse/Midwife from a recognized Training Institution.
- Enrolment Certificate issued by the Nursing Council of Kenya.
- Valid Practicing License from the Nursing Council of Kenya.
- Certificate in Computer Application Skills from a recognized Institution.
