Job Summary
Roche Diagnostics in Kenya is seeking a dynamic Finance Enterprise Partner (FEP), also known as a Finance Business Partner. This pivotal role involves deep collaboration with the commercial organization to drive key initiatives aligned with the commercial strategy. The FEP will leverage strong business acumen and financial expertise to build robust networks, share best practices, and co-create value-generating solutions. Acting as a trusted thought partner, this individual will ensure efficient resource allocation, maximize impact along the customer journey, and provide crucial financial advice to support better business decision-making, growth, and sustained success.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Partner with the business and either support or co-lead touchpoints along the customer journey, always maintaining an enterprise mindset.
- Connect back-office functions with customer-facing departments to effectively support market-path planning initiatives.
- Prepare accurate estimates for new deals and provide essential financial support for critical decision-making processes.
- Balance resource allocation across competing priorities and offer informed financial advice on the implications of proposed business activities.
- Develop and implement a coherent affiliate commercial strategy, encompassing comprehensive business planning, opportunity prioritization, and creative strategies for revenue generation.
- Ensure financial metrics remain on track to achieve targeted business results, offering advice on deviations and recommending corrective actions promptly.
- Monitor and manage customer performance throughout the contract lifecycle, with a keen focus on profitability and desired outcomes.
- Propose and actively drive ideas for Profit & Loss (P&L) improvement, including identifying upsell opportunities, implementing efficiency/waste management initiatives, reducing financial risks, and optimizing channel filling.
- Participate actively in FEP communities to learn, share, and implement best practices across various markets within Roche.
- Stimulate behaviors across the organization that are consistently aligned with financial objectives and strategic goals.
- Ensure sustainable commercial deals by thoroughly evaluating risks, assessing competitor assumptions, and implementing sustainable pricing strategies.
- Stay abreast of and continuously scan the internal and external business landscape for emerging trends, potential issues, and new opportunities to create value for the organization.
Qualifications & Requirements
- You must hold a Degree in finance or a related discipline.
- You should have 3 - 5 years of financial accounting experience with proven expertise in GAAP, IFRS, and ICFR.
- ERP Experience is required, ideally with SAP, and you must possess excellent working knowledge of SAP FICO modules and advanced Excel skills.
