Job Summary
The Community Health Assistant III will be responsible for conducting home visits, identifying health situations, sensitizing communities on health interventions, identifying common ailments, collecting health data, distributing health materials, and referring health cases within Migori County.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Visiting homes to assess health situations and engage in dialogue with household members.
- Identifying and sensitizing communities on various health interventions and programs.
- Identifying common ailments and minor injuries at the community level and providing basic advice.
- Collecting health data at the household level for analysis and planning of health programs.
- Distribution of information, education, and communication (IEC) materials, mosquito nets, and other health commodities to households.
- Identifying defaulters of health interventions and other health cases and referring them to appropriate health facilities.
- Maintaining and updating health data accurately using health registers.

Requirements for Appointment:
For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have:
- Be a Kenyan citizen.
- Possess a Certificate in any of the following disciplines from a recognized institution: Community Health, Social Work, and Community Development.
- Possess a Certificate in Computer application skills from a recognized institution.
- Must have attained a C- (Minus) in KCSE.
