Job Summary
The Theatre Technologist will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and efficient functioning of the operating theatre. This involves preparing the operating room for surgical procedures, assisting the surgical team during operations, maintaining and sterilizing surgical equipment, and ensuring a safe and sterile environment for patients and staff. The Theatre Technologist will work closely with surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide optimal surgical care.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Preparing the operating room for surgical procedures, ensuring a sterile environment and the availability of necessary equipment and instruments.
- Assisting the surgical team during procedures by passing instruments, holding retractors, and anticipating their needs.
- Maintaining and sterilizing surgical equipment and instruments.
- Ensuring the safe operation of medical equipment in the theatre.
- Monitoring and maintaining stock levels of surgical supplies.
