Job Summary
Equip Africa Institute is seeking a dedicated Nurse Clinical Instructor to supervise clinical activities and ensure quality training for nursing students. The role involves overseeing patient care, participating in educational programs, and mentoring students to achieve course objectives.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Supervise all clinical activities and workings of all students, aiming to offer quality training.
- Support all departmental activities, including continued program accreditation.
- Oversee all activities of patient care and ensure an optimal level of care in a clinical setting.
- Participate in various educational programs and ensure compliance with all lesson plans.
- Assist all students in adjusting to the trainee group and ensure optimal work performance.
- Train all students to minimize infection and contamination.
- Train students to identify signs of patient health deterioration and clinical equipment malfunction.
- Coordinate with students and manage all communication, providing an optimal level of practical training.
- Assist facility nurse managers and academic staff in analyzing student requirements.
- Ensure appropriate resources are available and assist in laboratory activities.
- Prepare student assignments and ensure compliance with academic course programs.
- Evaluate trainees' performance in classroom clinical training.
- Train and provide feedback to nursing students to ensure optimal work quality.
- Provide consultation to nurses for nursing education programs.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from a recognized institution.
- Registered Nurse status with the Nursing Council of Kenya (NCK).
- Minimum 3-5 years experience as a practicing nurse in a clinical setting.
- Hands-on experience in patient care.
- Experience in teaching or training in a university or tertiary institution setting.
