CHS-Kenya works closely with the National Government and County government to in order to ensure effective and efficient delivery of services to it's target population.

Over the years CHS has grown to be the preferred partner for engaging in matters of health that revolve around HIV/AIDS and Tuberculosis.

CHS has partnered with several government agencies in the country and also County governments, some of the notable county governments being Makueni County, Laikipia County, Nyandarua County and Murang'a County.  CHS has also partnered with MoH - Kenya, Nascop, CDC, US Embassy and TB Alliance.

Job Overview

The successful candidate will work in conjuction with the the Siaya County health managament team to ensure effective HIV testing services are efficient within the region of jurisdiction. The Lead will also be tasked with doing follows up on those infected with HIV, Contribute in the implementation of HIV prevention measures and policies. 

The candidate will also lead in technical training of members offering HTS (Hiv Testing Servives) within the region to the team members are up to date with the required knowledge on service provision.

Duties And Responsibilities

Successful candidate will be required to :
  • Provide leadership and guidance in the implementation of HTS measures which include optimizing the HTS delivery points and coming up with strategies tartgeting high population.
  • Provide guidance on large population monitoring and follow up as well as assessing the risks.
  • Apply all measures to attain and tackle a Bigger coverage in Siaya County.
  • Contribute to technical guidance on providing HIV preventive measures like providing condoms to the residents of the region.
  • Streamline all  biomedical interventions for adolscent and young women as enlisted on the DREAMS programme which also includes reaching out to male mating partners.
  • Implement monitoring and evaluation measures at the Service delivery points.
  • Trace all Hiv testing services test results specifically for those on Prep Enrollemnet, renrollment and basic testing among Siaya county populations.
  • Grow Prep initiatives tartegeting the youth in the region as well as reach the demand of peer counselling.
  • Track stock outs and do proper inventory  management.
  • Ensure all HIV Position individuals get the correct services and treatment within the area.
  • Collaboarate with SI to ensure scale up of electronic HTS in all Shinda Tena CHS project supported facilities and community programmes.
  • Ensure all Hiv Testing Service providers are competent and well trained.
  • Promote counselling in the region as per the Ministry of Health Guidelines ensuring quality ifs maintained.
  • Supervise enrollement of all Testings posints into RTCQI as well as make sure they are all enrolled and quartely assessment is done.
  • Ensure that all HIV testing participants are recorded in the relevant registers.
  • Carry out refresher tarining for Hiv and Testing Service Personnel as per the Manual.
  • Supervise the implemantation and development of work plans.
  • Provide effective guidance on implementation of Hiv Testing Service Strategies.
  • Provice Continous Staff Capacity building for the program staffs and service delivery taeam based on the national guidelines.
  • Collaborate closely with the focal persons in managemnet of servvice delivery and forecasting.
  • Prperly ensure that the correct report has been submitted to MoH and PEPFAR as per the standards and recommended tools.
  • Perform on timely assessment of the program achievement on the implemented measures and policies and do recommendations for improvement or change.

Qualifications

Interested Candidates Should have the following:
  • Bachelors degree in Public Health, Nursing, Clinical Medicine or health related degree.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in HIV Programme.
  • Knowledgable on HIV Management guidelines.
  • Computer Proficiency.
  • Team Player.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Excellent Interpersonal skills.
  • Exhibit professionalism  and high ethical stardands.
  • Intergrity and Confidentiality.
