REQUIREMENTS
Diploma in Medical Laboratory Sciences or an equivalent qualification from an institution recognized by the Kenya Medical Laboratory Technicians and Technologist Board (KMLTTB).
Registration Certificate issued by the KMLTTB.
Valid practicing license from the KMLTTB.
Certificate in computer application skills from a recognized institution.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Decontaminating working benches to ensure a safe laboratory environment.
Receiving and scrutinizing laboratory requisition forms and specimens.
Preparing clients for specimen collection and managing the reception, labeling, and registration of specimens.
Disaggregating specimens for processing, preparing reagents, and performing detailed specimen analysis.
Recording results and dispatching them promptly to support clinical management.
Preparing stains and performing blood grouping procedures.
Issuing blood and blood products to peripheral health facilities.
Storing blood products in accordance with established safety and quality requirements.
