REQUIREMENTS

• Diploma in Medical Engineering or an equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.

• Registration certificate issued by the Association of the Medical Engineers of Kenya (AMEK).

• Certificate in computer application skills from a recognized institution.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Undertaking preventive maintenance and repairs of medical and hospital equipment, plants, instruments, and furniture.

• Requisitioning for necessary spare parts and consumables.

• Maintaining a complete inventory of medical and hospital equipment, furniture, and plants.

• Collecting information for research purposes.

• Gathering data on medical engineering services for input into the Integrated Health Information Management System.

• Carrying out minor repairs of health facilities and utilities.

• Implementing various medical engineering programmes and projects.
