Requirements
Higher Diploma in Perioperative Nursing from a recognized institution.
Diploma or Degree in Nursing (KRCHN/KRN/BScN) from a recognized institution.
Valid practicing license and registration from the Nursing Council of Kenya (NCK).
Proven experience in a busy theatre or surgical department.
Strong leadership skills and ability to manage sterile environments and surgical protocols.
Responsibilities
Preparing the operating room for surgical procedures by ensuring all necessary sterile equipment and supplies are available.
Functioning as a scrub nurse or circulating nurse during operations, assisting the surgical team with precision.
Monitoring patient vital signs and physical status throughout the surgical process and during immediate recovery in the PACU.
Maintaining accurate perioperative documentation and ensuring the proper sterilization and maintenance of surgical instruments.
