Requirements
Diploma in Occupational Therapy from a recognized medical training institution.
Valid registration and a current practicing license from the Kenya Occupational Therapists Association (KOTA) or relevant regulatory body.
Proficiency in assessing patient needs and implementing individualized therapeutic activities.
Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with patients, families, and multidisciplinary medical teams.
Responsibilities
Implementing therapeutic programs to help patients improve their self-care, work, and leisure activities.
Assessing patients' home and work environments and recommending necessary adaptations to improve accessibility and safety.
Providing specialized splinting, assistive devices, and training on how to use them effectively.
Maintaining accurate clinical records of patient progress and adjusting treatment plans in consultation with senior therapists.
