Key Responsibilities
Chairside Excellence: Assist dentists during procedures and examinations using four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency.
Clinical Preparation: Set up treatment rooms with required instruments and materials; prepare dental cements and impression materials.
Infection Control: Adhere to strict IPC guidelines by cleaning, disinfecting, and sterilizing dental instruments and surfaces.
Patient Engagement: Welcome patients, explain procedures to reduce anxiety, and provide clear pre- and post-operative care instructions.
Facility Management: Monitor equipment for faults, manage dental inventory to prevent stock-outs, and maintain sterilization logs.
Administrative Support: Assist with accurate patient record-keeping, billing, and scheduling to ensure optimal patient flow.
Qualifications & Requirements
Certificate or Diploma in Dental Assisting or Dental Surgery Assisting from a recognized institution.
Valid registration with the relevant professional or regulatory body (where applicable).
Prior experience in a busy dental clinic or hospital setting is highly preferred.
Proficiency in chairside assisting and knowledge of dental materials.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a compassionate approach.
Excellent organizational skills for managing inventory and patient schedules.
Commitment to patient confidentiality and a proactive team-player attitude.
