Job Summary
The Nurse will be responsible for providing direct patient care, including assessing, observing, and communicating with patients. The role involves preparing patients for treatment, administering medications, and monitoring for side effects. The ideal candidate will be a compassionate professional with a strong understanding of patient care plans and a commitment to maintaining accurate records.
Duties & Responsibilities
Assess, observe, and communicate with patients to understand their needs.
Record the details and symptoms of a patient's medical history and current health.
Prepare patients for various treatments and procedures.
Administer medications and treatments, then monitor patients for any side effects or reactions.
Create, implement, and evaluate patient care plans in collaboration with the medical team.
Perform wound care, including cleaning and bandaging wounds.
Maintain a professional and empathetic demeanor while interacting with patients and their families.
Ensure a tidy and safe clinical environment.
Uphold patient confidentiality and professional ethical standards at all times.
Provide health education and guidance to patients as needed.
Assist in collecting and compiling health data.
Qualifications & Requirements
A Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Nursing.
Must be registered with the Nursing Council of Kenya and hold a valid practicing license.
The ability to work effectively in a team.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
The ability to remain calm and effective in a high-pressure environment.
