Job Summary
The Medical Science Liaison (MSL) will be the primary scientific resource for external experts, focusing on building and maintaining relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs) and healthcare professionals (HCPs). This role involves providing evidence-based information, offering scientific input for materials, and supporting various scientific and educational activities. The ideal candidate will have a medical degree and proven experience in a similar role within the pharmaceutical industry.
Duties & Responsibilities
Develop and maintain relationships with KOLs, HCPs, and other external stakeholders to facilitate credible scientific exchange.
Act as the primary scientific resource, responding to unsolicited medical inquiries with accurate, evidence-based information.
Provide scientific input during the development of both promotional and non-promotional materials, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
Plan, organize, and execute Continuous Medical Education (CME) initiatives and serve as a speaker or facilitator at scientific meetings.
Participate in advisory boards, conferences, and symposia to capture insights and support product strategies.
Train and support sales representatives by providing in-depth product and disease area knowledge.
Monitor competitor activity and market trends, providing valuable field-based insights to internal teams.
Ensure all activities and engagements strictly comply with company policies, local regulations, and global standards.
Stay updated with the latest clinical research and scientific developments in relevant disease areas.
Engage in a balanced scientific exchange, communicating complex information clearly and concisely.
Build trust and credibility with external stakeholders through professional and ethical conduct.
Qualifications & Requirements
A medical degree from a recognized institution is mandatory.
At least 3-5 years of experience in a medical affairs, medical marketing, or Medical Science Liaison (MSL) role within the pharmaceutical industry.
Proven experience in supporting Continuous Medical Education (CMEs), advisory boards, and scientific exchange activities.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Strong knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry and its regulatory environment.
The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
High level of integrity and professional ethics.
A strong understanding of the scientific data and clinical research process.
The ability to build and maintain strong relationships.
