Job Summary
Zetech University is seeking a passionate and dedicated Tutorial Fellow in Community Health to join its academic faculty. This full-time position is ideal for a highly qualified individual committed to delivering high-quality education, fostering research, and providing mentorship to students. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in teaching, curriculum development, and contributing to the university's academic and research objectives within the field of Community Health.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Teach in areas allocated by the Head of Department, ensuring comprehensive coverage of the curriculum.
- Design, develop, plan, and deliver a range of programmes of study, sometimes for entirely new courses at various academic levels.
- Deliver high-quality lectures and practical sessions, engaging students effectively.
- Review course content and materials on a regular basis, updating them when required to remain current with industry standards and academic advancements.
- Collaborate with academic colleagues on course development, curriculum changes, and the initiation and development of research activities.
- Carry out research and write research grant proposals, contributing to the university's research output and securing funding.
- Seek and participate in consultancies, applying academic expertise to real-world challenges.
- Present research papers at national or international conferences and other similar events, enhancing the university's profile and disseminating knowledge.
- Facilitate the dissemination of research outputs through various channels.
- Provide mentorship and career guidance to students and staff, fostering their professional and personal development.
- Perform any other duties as may be assigned from time to time by the supervisors or as captured in your detailed job description, demonstrating flexibility and commitment.
Qualification and Experience
- A Bachelor's degree and a Master's degree qualification in Community Health from a recognized/accredited University in the relevant field.
- At least three (3) years of post-qualification work experience (this usually refers to experience after obtaining the Master's degree for tutorial fellow positions, but could be interpreted as after the Bachelor's if relevant for the field).
- Demonstrated potential for university teaching and research.
- Commitment to high-quality teaching and fostering a positive learning environment for students.
