MAIN PURPOSE OF THIS POSITION
To deliver quality teaching to students and produce qualified professional oncology nurses.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Coordinate learning activities within the Paediatric Oncology program.
- Provide theoretical and clinical instruction to students to ensure mastery of necessary skills.
- Monitor students’ performance to maintain instructional standards.
- Develop and review curriculum in line with Nursing Council requirements.
- Conduct tests (theory and practical) and evaluate student assignments and performance.
- Maintain clinical capabilities through regular clinical practice and take responsibility for own professional development.
- Participate in quality programs, clinical audits, and research initiatives.
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN).
- Higher National Diploma in Oncology/Paediatric Oncology nursing or equivalent.
- Must have a minimum of one (1) year working experience as a Tutor.
- Certification as a TVET instructor is desirable and an added advantage.
- Certificate in any Paediatric Resuscitation skills will be an added advantage.
- Valid Nursing Council of Kenya Practice license.
- Nursing Council of Kenya Registration Certificate.
