Job Summary

AAR Health Care (Kenya) Limited is seeking experienced and efficient Nurse Paramedics to provide professional emergency rescue services in a well-organized manner, adhering to the highest standards of care. Reporting to the Head of Emergency Rescue Services, the successful candidates will be responsible for responding to medical emergencies, managing patient conditions effectively, ensuring ambulances are well-stocked and equipped, and maintaining accurate patient medical records. This role requires strong clinical skills, excellent decision-making abilities, and the capacity to work calmly under pressure.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Responding promptly and efficiently to medical emergencies, providing immediate and advanced nursing care to patients at the scene and during transit.
  • Ensuring the preparation and adequate stocking of the ambulance with all necessary medications, fluids, medical supplies, and equipment required for emergency rescue operations.
  • Reporting any defects or malfunctions of the ambulance vehicle and its onboard medical equipment promptly to ensure timely repairs and maintain operational readiness.
  • Regularly checking and verifying that all medical equipment is in good working order before each shift and taking necessary action for any identified issues.
  • Maintaining accurate and comprehensive documentation of patients' medical notes, including assessments, treatments administered, observations, and patient history during emergency calls.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Possess a Diploma holder (Kenya Registered Community Health Nurse - KRCHN) qualification.
  • Have at least 3 years of appropriate experience working as a registered Nurse.
  • Must hold valid certificates in ATLS (Advanced Trauma Life Support), ACLS/BLS (Advanced/Basic Cardiac Life Support), and PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support).
  • Certification as a BLS course instructor will be considered an added advantage.
  • Possess at least 1 year of experience working in the ICU (Intensive Care Unit) or Accident and Emergency department.
  • Demonstrate ICT competency with proficiency in using relevant technology for communication and documentation.
