Job Summary
The Pharmaceutical Technologist will be responsible for dispensing medications, managing pharmaceutical inventory, and providing pharmaceutical care to patients in compliance with professional standards and regulations.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Dispense medications accurately and efficiently based on prescriptions.
- Provide patient counseling on medication usage, dosage, and potential side effects.
- Manage and maintain pharmaceutical inventory.
- Ensure proper storage and handling of medications.
- Maintain accurate records of prescriptions and dispensed medications.
- Adhere to all relevant pharmacy regulations and standards.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care.
- Monitor and report any adverse drug reactions or medication errors.
- Assist in the procurement and restocking of pharmaceutical supplies.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Diploma in Pharmaceutical Technology.
- At least one (1) year working experience in a hospital or pharmacy setup.
- Registered and with a valid license from the Pharmacy and Poisons Board.
- Proficient in computer applications.
- Good communication skills.
