Job Summary

The Nursing Tutor will be responsible for providing quality theoretical and clinical instruction to nursing students, ensuring they achieve mastery of content and skills. This role involves maintaining clinical capability, monitoring student performance, and participating in curriculum development and review. Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provide quality theoretical and clinical instructions to students to ensure mastery of content and skills.
  • Maintain clinical capability via regular clinical practice and take full responsibility for own professional development.
  • Monitor student performance to maintain institutional standards.
  • Supervise students on research proposals and report writing.
  • Develop and review curriculum in line with Nursing council requirements and standards.
  • Assess students through theory and practical to monitor their progress.
  • Maintain students’ records as required by the Nursing council.
  • Participate in quality programs, clinical audit, and research.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
  • Post Graduate Diploma in Technical Education.
  • Registered with Nursing Council of Kenya (NCK) and have a current nursing practice license.
  • Minimum two (2) years’ experience in teaching in a nursing school.
  • BLS/ACLS training is an added advantage.
  • Computer literacy.
  • Professionalism.
  • Critical thinking skills.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills (both written and verbal).
  • Team player.
  • Excellent time management skills.
