Job Summary
The Nurse will contribute to AHF's mission by providing friendly and helpful care to patients seeking testing or medical assistance. This role involves collecting medical histories, performing physical exams, coordinating patient scheduling, and ensuring patients receive high-quality care.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide friendly and helpful care to all patients and individuals seeking testing or medical assistance.
- Project and integrate the mission and core values of AHF within and outside the Healthcare Center.
- Work with nursing staff and the front office to accommodate urgent care/walk-in patients.
- Collect patient medical histories and formulate plans and prognoses based on patient conditions.
- Coordinate patient scheduling and perform physical exams during medical visits.
- Evaluate diagnostic tests and prescribe necessary medications or other forms of treatment.
- Refer patients to physicians or specialists for consultation.
- Encourage clients to continue seeking medical treatment from an AHF Healthcare Center and recommend AHF services to others.
- Provide outstanding service that enhances AHF’s reputation.
- Write admitting orders as appropriate and give to patients for emergency room admissions.
- Ensure patients receive the highest quality of care.
- Demonstrate flexibility and willingness to provide coverage at other AHF sites upon request.
- Share feedback about services and recommendations for improvement with the Medical Director.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.
- Valid nursing license.
- Experience in providing patient care, preferably in an HIV/AIDS healthcare setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Strong commitment to
1 patient care and customer service. - Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
