Job Summary
The Laboratory Technologist will be responsible for performing laboratory tests, ensuring quality control, and maintaining accurate records in compliance with professional standards and regulations.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of laboratory tests and analyses on patient samples.
- Ensure the accuracy and reliability of test results.
- Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment.
- Adhere to laboratory quality management systems (QMS) and safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of laboratory tests and results.
- Participate in quality control and quality assurance programs.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure integrated patient care.
- Manage and maintain laboratory inventory and supplies.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laboratory regulations and standards.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology.
- At least two (2) years of working experience in a laboratory setting.
- Registered and with a valid license from the Kenya Medical Laboratory Technicians and Technologist Board (KMLTTB).
- Trained and must demonstrate an understanding of Laboratory Quality Management Systems (QMS) initiatives.
- Proficient in computer applications.
- Good communication skills.
