Centre for Health Solutions - Kenya is a non Profit organization based in Kenya that is well known for providing healthcare services mainly targeting communities affected by HIV/AIDS and Tuberculosis across the country.

CHS-Kenya works closely with the National Government and County government to in order to ensure effective and efficient delivery of services to it's target population.
Over the years CHS has grown to be the preferred partner for engaging in matters of health that revolve around HIV/AIDS and Tuberculosis.

CHS has partnered with several government agencies in the country and also County governments, some of the notable county governments being Makueni County, Laikipia County, Nyandarua County and Murang'a County.  CHS has also partnered with MoH - Kenya, Nascop, CDC, US Embassy and TB Alliance.

Job Overview

The successful candidate for the advertised position will efficiently provide leadership for the implementation of DREAMS interventions for the young adolescent girls and young women (AGYW) in Siaya County Kenya. Which will include the effective development of work plans, effectively providing leadership and coordination of DREAMS staff, and monitoring and reporting for HIV prevention interventions for Adolescent Girls Young Women (AGYW).

Duties And Responsibilities

  • Design and support implementation of HIV-prevention interventions targeting adolescent girls and young women in Siaya County.
  • Lead in technical assistance by providing training, mentorships to staff members on DREAMS project.
  • Participate and support budget implementation by overseeing the expenditure against the set budget.
  • Oversee the mentorship program of the DREAMS project staff and also develop training methods.
  • Participate and support monitoring and evaluation of DREAMS projects interventions.
  • Closely collaborate with the Monitoring and evaluation team to ensure efficient  project implementation.
  • Design and draft Programme reports including donor reports, challenges and opportunities of the Programme.
  • Be the representative of the CHS in different functions and forums such as stakeholder meetings, technical work teams and government meetings.
  • Co ordinate the project success in county by mainstreaming operational and Programme key factors.
  • Perform any other duty as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications 

  • Bachelors degree in Social Sciences, Clinical Medicine, Nursing or any other relevant field.
  • A Masters degree is an added advantage.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in a similar role.
  • Experience working with PEPFAR - funded programs .
  • Knowledgable of on community behavioral change.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Capacity building skills.
  • Adaptability and Flexibility.
